For over 12,000 years skilled craftsmen have been transforming the colorful flint quarried there into both tools and weapons, many of them truly works of art. This presentation examines the history of Flint Ridge, from its creation millions of years ago, to the Native American artisans who first utilized its beauty, to the flintknappers who continue to create fine art from it today.

Featuring historians Robert Converse, Charlie Fulk, and Richard Sisson. Narrated by Steve Fuller and directed by Alan Gutchess. Over 350 prehistoric artifacts crafted from Flint Ridge flint, dating from 10,000 B.C. to 1600 A.D., are shown in full color. Documentary, 90 minutes. Available in DVD format.
