"Germanic Import" Style Buttplate

This roccoco engraved buttplate is molded after those found on imported smooth rifles from Germany during the 1750-1780 time period. This hardware may have been imported separately as well, as these buttplates and their matching furniture are found on a variety of Colonial America fowlers also.

Dimensions: 5 1/4" high x 2" wide x 5 3/4" top extension.
