"French Fusil" Flintlock
The dimensions of this lock are nearly identical to original French trade gun locks and also closely resembles many of the Germanic locks exported to America in the mid-18th century. It is appropriate for French trade guns and 1750-1775 period American longrifles and fowlers. The plate is flat with no file mark on the tail. There is no bridle on the pan, and the frizzen is held in place by a large shouldered screw. The internal parts of this lock are identical to our Early Germanic Flintlock. This lock can be easily refiled to even more closely approximate originals. Right hand only.
Dimensions: 5 9/16" x 1 1/8".
